Life is full of transitions and awakenings to deeper levels of who you are, but sometimes these transitions are bumpy and we can get stuck in sensations, emotions, stories, or reliving past trauma. I have navigated several life-altering transitions and have, over time, discovered ways to navigate these changes using techniques grounded in mindfulness and the body. I believe navigating life’s phases successfully results in expansion into a more authentic and balanced version of self.

My name is Molly and I’m an LPC intern. I’m 49, and a new transplant to Texas, hailing from Maine. My journey toward counseling began in my 20’s, working in fields of midwifery and bullying and teasing prevention. At the same time I was in a graduate program in ecopsychology and learning about adventure therapy, wilderness therapy, and the relationship between the psyche and the natural world. Eventually I segwayed into exploring early childhood teaching and sustainable living before aligning with my current work as an energy medicine practitioner. As an energy medicine practitioner I found that clients' stories, emotions, and life transitions were directly tied to the way the energy was blocked in the body. I also found that they typically needed to tell me their stories and experiences to access deeper healing. This realization led me back to psychology and counseling.

In my sessions, clients are invited to explore what nervous system regulation feels like, expanding that sensation into a new normal. I help clients navigate difficulties in relationships or transitions, sensations of anxiety, and past trauma as it reveals itself, using mindfulness, energy coaching and an IFS (internal family systems) informed approach. I’m also happy to incorporate art therapy, walk & talk, or eco-therapy as appropriate.
